Here are a few notes to introduce the Visual Arts and Communication Course. I am very happy to teach this course.

Start each and every class with 5 minutes drawing practice or exercise. (examples of warm up:)

Blind contour drawing. - Stare at the edge of the object and move pencil as if you are touching the object. Do not look at the paper while you are drawing.)

Foreshortened squares, cubes, shadows: - 3D drawing techniques

Gesture Drawing: A quick drawing that trys to show the movement and energy within the form.

Sketch book rule – no removing pages. If you really are not satified with a page you can glue something over it. You may alter the cover as you like. You may glue things into the book, but never remove anything. Pages should be dated.
